You must correct inaccuracies within 30 days of discovery to avoid penalties. A safe harbor exists if you correct within 90 days of the original deadline.

Willful violations carry significant civil and criminal penalties. When correcting or updating, remember to complete the entire BOIR.

Ensure your identity document uploads are JPG/JPEG, PNG, or PDF, and under 4MB. If system errors persist, contact FinCEN directly.
